CI Halloween Carnival: Murder Mystery Theater

You're the detective, someone's been murdered. Are you a bad enough dude to solve this murder?

Rules:

Spoiler:

-Each guess as to who the murderer is costs 2CP.
-All guesses MUST be sent via PM. If you post any of the answers in this topic, you'll be in trouble.
-Your guess must have the subject "Murder Mystery Guess" in the PM.
-Guessing the murderer nets you the CP you used to play and 10CP as extra if you're the first to do so. If you make the correct guess after that point, you'll be given 5CP instead.
-Guessing how it was done will give you 3CP plus what you spent to play. Your answer must be extremely close in order to be correct. Include this in your guess if you think you have it, I will not penalize you for getting it wrong.
-Guessing why will give you 2CP plus what you spent to play. Your answer can have a bit of leeway in this category. Include this in your guess if you think you have it, I will not penalize you for getting it wrong.
-Your guess does not need to include how or why the murder was committed.
-However, if you decide later that you want to, you must make another 2CP guess.
-I will announce who the murderer is when the game is over. Meaning, if your guess is right or wrong will not be revealed until the game is over.
-This game will end October 6th.

The victim is Lt. Waffles

Only the people mentioned below were part of the crime. Thus, the murderer must be one of them.

-Funky G - "Don't worry boys and girls, Funky G is on the case. I'll find out who the murder is you just wait and see. Heh! *He then proceeds to put on sunglasses, flick his hair back, wink at you with finger guns and then walk out the door while casually saying "ayyyy"*"

-Once you purchase a ticket, you cannot refund the ticket to get CP. Don't worry though, you can get more CP through games. Just keep in mind that some games may require you to pay a certain amount of CP to play. There will also be games where you can enter without CP as well, and may be like this topic where simply posting grants you CP.

Don't worry though, I plan on doing other smaller events to net people a small amount of CP here and there during the month so that if you do spend all your CP, you aren't just locked out of the entire event.

Also, to clarify the rules of this game, how they did it is meant more in a "What steps did they take to accomplish this murder, and what did they do after murdering Waffles?". Not just how were they killed, as it's self explanatory.

I'm not being super clear and that's my fault.

That's the end of the case! Evidence was gathered by the Moderators and the one who actually committed the crime was...

Brianna

I'm sure a decent amount of you were able to gather that I was being framed, but by who? Who would have access to my prints? Well, according to Blade, I live with 4 people. All 4 of these people would have the ability to steal my gloves and knife and plant them on the scene.

Our four suspects then are Retro, Brianna, Crash, and Choco.

Crash and Choco start with a C. Choco wouldn't cast suspicion on her by admitting the crime scene was faked, meaning she's in the clear. Crash says I didn't do it, and according to my interview, whoever defended me was innocent as well. Notice though how he doesn't say he was with me. This left two suspects.

Suspect 1 is Retro. He's been implicated as a liar by multiple people, but it's hard to tell if they're telling the truth or not. His interview is a dead end unless you're willing to take a risk.

If you want to be extremely confident in your answer, take a look at suspect 2, Brianna. Her interview explains how she was with me at the time of the murder. However... that's not true. If we look at Blade's statement, he explains that the people I live with don't know where I was at the time of the murder. This casts doubt on Brianna's interview, as according to the evidence I have no alibi. If we pair that up with how Retro is being fingered as a liar, the pieces start to come together to show that she's the murderer here. She's the only female who lives with me and doesn't have an alibi.

In a way it half comes down to who you're willing to trust, and how you interpret the statements and interviews. In this case, if you caught Blade's statement and paired it with Brianna, it was clear that Brianna was lying in her interview (or at the very least, changed her story for the moderators). If you took a chance and trusted that Retro was the liar, it became obvious that out of the 4 suspects, it was now 2 and one of them was already proven innocent.

So how did she do it? Brianna lured Waffles to an old alleyway and stabbed him once directly in the heart. Adventures heard his yell, saw what was happening, and booked it out of there while screaming. Brianna was likely aware that she would be found soon and planted the evidence she came prepared with, namely my gloves, a note, and a knife with my fingerprints on it. She bolted out of there and tossed the knife she actually used in a trash bin a few blocks down before returning to talk to the police.

Why did she do it? That's up to interpretation, but it was definitely a crime of passion. I would've taken "she thought Fox was in love with Waffles and killed Waffles while framing him so that she could get revenge" or just "A crime of passion" to be honest. The note left a lot of it open to interpretation.
