i don't play many scary games, but out of the few i've played, probably the silent hill series. i have no particular preference for which specific game.

Metroid Fusion
Nothing like getting chased by walking death machine right after fighting a difficult boss that doesn't let you save inbetween.
I've honestly since stopped being scared of metroids and other things in this series, but I swear this gets me every single time I play.

I am playing Bloodborne right now, for my first Souls game experience. And I am thoroughly enjoying it, although I am pretty sure the game is going to kill me from the stress and the spooky.
Luigi's Mansion was my spooky game last year, which got quite sppppooky.

Can't say I've played any games I'd consider scary, but of the games I thoroughly enjoyed, the ones that come closest to being scary in a traditional sense are probably Luigi's Mansion and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

DDLC again. I can double dip because its a visual novel and therefore both a scary story and a scary game

oh jeeze
i don't really play scary games at all but
honestly watching my friends play silent hill was really scary for me
like i know that's silly but
i get freaked out over early 3d games in general, not just ones that are meant to be scary
