I've noticed that recently a lot of people have been posting threads to advertise their new websites and/or forums, to decide who their moderators will be, and so on. I'd like to draw your attention to the following rule (from this thread):
You're allowed to present to us the websites you've created in order to receive feedback about them. Forums that you didn't actually code yourselves (for example, Freewebs ones) are hardly worthy of asking for feedback about.Mooncow wrote:Advertising in the form of posting links to "get a free xbox360!" or things like that is not allowed. You are not allowed to just post your website's URL and/or ask for members. That's just plain advertising and violates this rule. Unfortunately, this is what most people have been doing. The current threads will be removed and no punishment will be issued - but future offenses will be punished.
If you just want to advertise your website, use your profile or signature.
