[SADX and SA2:B] Items with Better Descriptions!

Uhh, the black market is not descriptive enough! I thought the apple was food that greatly increases chao stamina, (i wasted 2,000 rings :herocry: ).

NAME/WHAT DOES IT DO?/COST (rings)
FRUITS:
Regular Fruit (Grown on trees) = Increases stamina by 4 points : FREE!!!!!
Triangular Fruit (pathetic replacement) = Increases stamina by 4 points : 80
-Round Fruit
-Cubicle Fruit
Hero Fruit = Makes your chao more likely to be a hero-type : 120 :hero:
Dark Fruit = Makes your chao more likely to be a dark-type : 120 :dark:
Heart Fruit = Makes chao breed, increases stamina by 4 points : 300
Mushroom = Increases stamina by 5 or 8 points : 300
Chao Fruit = Increases all stats by 5 points : 200 GREAT DEAL!!!
HEAD ITEMS:
Carboard Box = Ugly and bulky head item : 2000
Apple = Huge Apple (head item!! not food!!) : 2000
Paper Bag = Shopping bag!! : 4000
Stump = Rotten wood : 4000
Flower Pot = Big pot : 6000

ANYWAYS:
Fruit Can = Fresh smell of rotten fruits : 6000
Bucket = Worn out bucket : 6000
Watermelon = Huge Watermelon! : 6000
SPECIAL HEAD ITEMS
Red and Yellow Wool Beanie = Warm Hat : 8000 / Kinda rare
Blue and Light Blue Wool Beanie = Another Warm hat : 10000 / Somewhat rare
Black and Grey Wool Beanie = Moar Warm Hats : 20000 / Rare

SEEDS
* To plant a seed, you must give it to your chao to plant it somewhere, BUT, you need to win level 3 in some beginner races to get a shovel, and a water bucket. I highly recomend having water too, if the chao plants it without water, your tree may not successfuly grow fruits.
Tasty Seed = Grows a tree with banana looking fruits (3) at a time: 200
Strong Seed = Grows a tree with red looking fruits (1 or 3) at a time : 500
Dark Seed = Grows a tree with dark fruits (3) : 400
Hero Seed = Grows a tree with hero fruits (3) : 400
Cube Seed = Grows a tree with cube fruits (3) : 300
same for round and triangle seeds, but different fruits.

NOTE I would suggest not to put hats on. Why? Well, 2 main reasons: 1) Its very ugly! 2) The only way to take them off is to throw you chao against the wall :chaocry:
Also, each item is worth 1/4 of original cost when you sell it to the black market.

^ Yes, but this one gives better descriptions. The other post doesnt show how much stamina is increased etc. Well, im just trying to help

Mel Mel's guide is great, but having specific details about the effect each item has would be useful. Can anybody confirm New023's findings?

^ If you would like, I can go onto my SA2:B file and figure out what each fruit adds to the stats. It wouldn't be too much trouble.

I suppose that I'll edit this post later with my results.

EDIT::

I am going to refer to this in base 100. This means that it takes 100 points to level a stat up. This is because, if you look closely, some things (such as animals) appear to add a different value each time, but they probably don't. They most likely add a number that can add up. For example, an animal could add 25 points. This means that it would appear to add 2 the first time, but when you give it to the Chao again, it appears to add 3, because the numbers add up (25 + 25 = 50).

Square Fruit: Adds 40 points (4 blocks) to the Stamina stat. 10 points per bite.

Triangle Fruit: Adds 40 points (4 blocks) to the Stamina stat. 10 points per bite.

Round Fruit: Will test soon. I expect it to be like the Square and Triangle fruits, though.

Hero Fruit: Adds 40 points (4 blocks) to the Stamina stat. 10 points per bite. Influences baby Chao towards the Hero evolution. (It took me 5 of these to turn a newly-hatched baby Chao into a baby Hero Chao.)

Dark Fruit: Will test soon. I expect it to be just like the Hero Fruit, though.

Chao Fruit: This one is a little trickier. I have been testing with it on a newly-hatched baby Chao, and each time, it adds to the stats like this: 1 block, 1 block, 2 blocks, 1 block. I'm having a little trouble figuring out the exact value that it gives each time, but it does that same pattern each time. Nothing changes when you give it more fruit.

Heart Fruit: I expect this one to be like other fruit, except for the mating effect, but will test it anyways, when I can.

Mushroom: I have only had the opportunity to buy one so far, but it seems that the mushroom adds to the Stamina stat the way that the Chao Fruit does: 1 block, 1 block, 2 blocks, 1 block. Some help with figuring out the actual value would be appreciated. Otherwise, I would just have to say that they add 5 blocks total (50 points) each time.

I would like to suggest the fact of happiness be added to details about the fruit, because if the Chao likes or dislikes a fruit, being given it can make them extra happy or unhappy.

EDIT:

Speaking of which, I also did some tests to compare Renae's results.

Fruit from SADX PC
fruit: +# Stats, Happy=, Extra
Garden fruit: +4 Stamina, Happy+
Hero fruit: +4 Stamina, HappyA, Hero+
Dark fruit: +4 Stamina, HappyA, Dark+
Chao fruit: +5 All, Happy+
Heart fruit: +4 Stamina, Happy++, Fertility*
Round fruit: +4 Stamina, HappyF
Triangular fruit: +4 Stamina, HappyF
Cubicle fruit: +4 Stamina, HappyF
Mushroom: +8 Stamina, Happy+

A few notes about the chart. The stat boosting is based on how many bits are added to the meter. While Renae's theory works, fruit don't seem to need that fact considered. I included the happiness since different fruit can have different effects on the Chao's happiness. "HappyA" and "HappyF" depend on whether or not the Chao's alignment or favorite fruit get in the way of boosting happiness. The rest should speak for itself.

I plan on also doing this in SA2B and SADX GC, both using the TCG fruit as well.

For the record, since it is an item, I am rather confident that Chaos Drives boost the Chao's stat bar by 2.4.

My reasoning behind this is because of basic rounding.

First Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Two Bars (2.4 rounds to 2)
Second Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Five Bars (4.8 rounds to 5)
Third Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Seven Bars (7.2 rounds to 7)
Fourth Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Ten Bars (9.6 rounds to 10)
Fifth Chaos Drive: Level 01 - Bars (12 reduces to 2 and doesn't have to round)

Initially I thought it was 2.5, but if that were true, then on the Fourth Chaos Drive, the Chao would reach ten bars, and level up. Instead, it reaches ten bars and doesn't level up.

I've also tested 2.3 as a possibility.

First Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Two Bars (2.3 rounds to 2)
Second Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Five Bars (4.6 rounds to 5)
Third Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Seven Bars (6.9 rounds to 7)
Fourth Chaos Drive: Level 00 - Ten Bars (9.1 rounds to 9)

You can see the problem I ran into there.

I'm rather confident that the animals and some other items work like this.

In the process of testing this, I tried to figure out why the Chao Fruit was acting so weird. At first I thought each Chao Fruit Bite had a value of 1.2, but it would mess up later on. I talked to Fusion about it and he noticed in the programming that the last bite of the Chao Fruit gives the value of 1.4, which made sense since like the core of the Heart Fruit, it did something unusual to the Chao.

I'm going to more deeply examine the animals and see if they follow similar actions.

Another way to get hats off is by attacking them in SA2B. Plus, you can only take them off if there's less than so many items on the ground oin the garden

Also, information on nuts from the tiny chao garden should be taken. I'll experiment with that myself. I'll edit this or post what i find.

Your sixth fruit, the Yellow Fruit, is wrong.

I list the fruit as "<color> fruit", because they have no official names and assuming they are a real fruit isn't very accurate.

I'm also not counting Mood and Belly because Mood can depend on Belly. The lower Belly is the more Mood a fruit can give, plus I'm rather unsure about how Mood and Belly @ffect Happiness and Hunger.

(I used "@ffect", because I still have a hard time with the difference between "affect" and "effect". xP)

I think the lower the mood is, the less happy the chao, and belly is how hungry the chao is. If they chao's hungry, it's mood/happiness goes down.

I'm saying that I question whether or not Mood really does effect Happiness and if Belly really does effect Hunger. It more often seems like they are just random variables set to give you motivation and restrict your actions.

i guess. I left the tiny chao garden alone for like 2 minute and when i came back the chao was angry and starving, and there wree lots of weed.

Unfortunatly, it does. THe only way to get hats off chaos hurts them. I've heard that after a foever though they might take their hat off.

The only issues I have noticed with headgear is is that if you want to remove it, you have to hurt them, and if it won't come off, you either need to sell headgear items (like eggshells) or give the Chao a Skeleton Dog. I have never once see a Chao lose headgear without being hurt.

Neither have I. THat's why i always pick up my chao if they take an egg from me that i'm going to sell. Once, i had my chao put on a shiny white shell, and i actually liked how it looked. I eventually had it off though, cause it became a chaos chao. Also, i have a chao i'm making look like the Grim Reaper, so i gave it a skull.

Other than that though, i don't really have hats. THey're not the best, plus i don't like how you have to abuse the chao t get the hat off.
