We need more moderators like I need more hours at work. Or like I need calculus (dental, not math). If there was anyone being considered that is not our business. A step in the right direction, typically, is not having a history of ever being a trouble maker. I messed up in the past, don't really think I've been bad at all in the past year, but the shadow of your past will haunt you here. If you want to know if anyone is being considered for moderator ask an admin or moderator what they think or who they like or what they consider appropriate behavior. That's the best perspective you're going to get.

I've said it time and again about Jeff who I would like to see him as a mod. I don't know if he'll want the position.

But me? I'd like to say I'd enjoy the position and live up to the expectation others would want from a moderator here. Which has been said time and time again.

Also iDontKnow, I'll save my comments and remind you that while you say I'm not qualified for for a moderator position. I got you unbanned from the minecraft server we had after that one mistake where others wanted you banned. If you would rather forget about that and focus on saying that, I can't really say you're much of person to even say that when I even went out of my way for you.

I was gonna be a witty jerk about the derailing of this topic but instead I feel like I might as well bring myself down to whatever level I see fit.

If you're going to choose to be such a brat about it Triert then consider grasping that iDontKnow didn't declare you incapable of being a moderator. I was the one who explained having a history of wrong doings being a mark against anyone aspiring to be a moderator. All iDontKnow did was repeat the statement I made. But because I at least have a semblance of class I managed to phrase it so carefully as to not directly be a smack in the face saying that most everyone is pretty much incapable of promotion.

The fact that you're going to let some petty garbage between you and anyone else get to you like this is like handing in any possible resignation. I hope you continue to think you're capable of becoming a moderator because I love to see mad men talk themselves up. I stand in the mirror just for it.

Actually, I think iDK was pretty much trying to say Uni and Triert are incapable of being moderators this whole time with his "witty one-liners".

He may have been echoing your sentiment, but that was probably due to the fact that you proved his point. Well that, and he possibly agrees.

That said, I do agree that anyone with a bad track record would have trouble becoming moderators part of the reason being the amount of backlash they would receive from other users. What Uni and Triert would have to do if they became mods is work much harder to show that they can be good moderators, even though their past behaviors and mistakes show otherwise.

Truth be told, I really don't care that much whether or not we get new moderators, mainly because Mooncow and Fusion tend to be deathly quiet on these topics and said topics usually just melt into a terrible, sticky tar that no one wants to step in.

And I'm pretty sure creation of these kinds of topic won't "make" or "persuade" Fusion/Mooncow to hire more mods. Not dissing you but I really think these topics won't spark some sudden MODification.

Will there be increased likelihood of a new mod due to the official absence of Renae?

The answer:
No. Mod quotas are not a thing. There are however many or few as are seen fit.

Thinking about it, this thread should not even be in suggestions, but in Help and Information. Point is, guys, please stop. At this point no one is happy with this thread.
