In all of the years I've played Sonic R I've never heardof this before! This is hilarious! how did something like this even start?

This old tale cracks me up, almost as bad as the "Lavender Town causes suicide!" story that came along with Pokémon Gen I. The stories people can invent over something as simple as a video game character are simply stunning.

Wait, Ive already beat sonic R, all levels as TD, and i always wait to tag super sonic last on tag mode because he's a bit harder to catch. Does that mean I've basically disproved it already? I didn't even know that's one of the methods of activating the curse until now XD

FAKE for many reasons. for one, for this to work, the doll must be in EVERY cartridge on earth. not happening. also, the TV screen is solid. how is a stupid doll going to pass through? third, it's a video game paragonal doll. enough said. last, it uses a power of "sonic's soul" and the "emeralds power" to get out. unless 1's and 0's have souls and power, then NOPE. also, it came to be because people thought it looked creepy, so some guy made a picture of it in the dark with a checkered floor, and someone made a story of the doll coming out of the TV and killing his/her friends and family.

^No I'm not. It is a demonic force imprisoned inside the coding of a video game that haunts those responsible for setting it free, according to legend. It only looks like a doll thanks to programming.

I'm surprised people still talk about the Tails Doll. I thought that rumour was long dead.
I did try it out years ago for kicks, it's definitely fake. I did get some weird glitches involving the Tails Doll though. It kept randomly appearing in front of me during races.

My freind when they played when they would play as the tails doll his game would freeze or it would only let you pick the one that you do hte curse on but........ Theres had a scrack on it that was kinda deep soo that might have done it.

I would like to put this to rest by testing it myself. However the methods I have seen to activate the curse are all over the place and rarely make sense. One I have seen several times is "Sing can you feel the sunshine backwards while looking into a mirror in a dark room." how are you even supposed to do that? How does one sing something backwards?

Technically, you could memorize what it sounds like backwards and try to sing it that way.
But then again, it's all fake anyway.

All right! i can't stand the TD Curse Discussions on here! Must. End. This. NOW!

The True Facts of TD

1. He was made in Sonic R by Robotnick to be a rival against Sonic and others. He was never built for destruction and terror. Only as a Race competitor.
2. Under his suit, is metal, gears, and a generator, not cotton, hidden weapons, and a cripple heart of a victum. He is a Robot. (Not sure why he wears the doll-like suit, though...That's weird)
3. The Gem is more of a communicator For Eggman to give orders across Seas, or at his base. It can even store data to keep as further reserch.
4. He was never built for evil. True, all of Eggman's Robot usually are made for conquering, but Metal Knuckles and TD were made for a less dangerous Reason.
5. Even though the TD curse doesn't really work, a Canon appeared in Issue #231 Off-Panel of sonic the Hedgehog (Archie). It was made for a Joke, though.

With these Facts, the TD curse can't make sense...until we see what Ian has in store for it/him...

Truthfully, the "Tails Doll Curse" was just made for fun. Everyone knows it is fake, but they try out the methods and make "scary" stories of him hoping to find someone who doesn't know of it who gets scared. Sometimes it is just fun to play along and pretend he is real and talk about how he attacked your -insert family member/friend here-.
Disproving this story is easy, and it just takes the fun out of it, you know? I'm not saying to not go out and try the methods, but don't try and put logic to this story trying to disprove it. This story pretty much defies logic. It kinda reminds me of the Haunted Majora's Mask cart.
