Do people actually ship Big x Froggy?? Apparently I've been really out of the loop with Sonic pairings lately! O.o I'll totally get behind that though lol

Anyway I'm pretty fine with most pairings, canon or not, but I have a serious problem with Sonic x Elise. Also Chris x Sonic. I'm not sure which I dislike more, but those two are definitely up there with pairings I'd kill off.

I always found it interesting how little SonicxTails there is out there.

I don't want any pairings to be canon. They're fine as they are.

But as long as the fanfiction's well-written, who cares? I'd take a good Sonadow fanfic over 10 bad KnuxRouge ones any day.

I know, right? Yet it's one of the biggest pairings in the fandom.

It wouldn't be so bad if fans acknowledged it as the crack pairing it truly is, but instead they treat the whole thing like its canon or something...

That is the one thing that irks me the most! IT'S NOT CANON! Never has been! Not even a lick of it! MAYBE the one time Amy mistook Shadow for Sonic, but even then that's not even really Canon.

While all Sonic shipping is crack shipping(TM)(excluding canon/near-canon pairings in Archie/SatAM), I have to admit that pairing Amy with Shadow is actually fairly low on the crack scale. If we are talking strictly SegaSonic(or Sonic X), pairing Amy with anyone other than Sonic would involve either inter-species romance, time travel, dimension jumping, or pairing her with Shadow. Of course, realistically, Shadow would reject her for her stalker like bahavior just as Sonic does, and probably would be more brutally honest in doing so.

Also, seconding the motion that a good fanfiction writer can make even the crackiest of pairings work. Cannot say I have read any decent Sonic romance fanfiction, even with the more reasonable pairings, but my current favorite Bleach fanfiction writer consistently produces AAA work(that I look forward to more than the next release of the canon) and most of her work is built around crack pairings that are developed in such a way that they make perfect sense within the alternate timelines the author has created.

Also, for a potential SegaSonic/MLP:FiM cross-over that includes cross-universe romance, Sonic/Rainbow Dash sounds like the most logical pairing.
