The crossover killed the old continuity because stupid Ken Penders engaged in legal "Original Character Do Not Steal" and he succeeded so, they deleted it with the best crossover ever.
On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I'm never gonna see a sequel to Sonic Chronicles thanks to him.
That said, I never really enjoyed the original continuity, because I was never really a fan of it's general story. I mean, in that one, Eggman Robotnik already won.
Why am I reading this again? Oh wait, I'm not.
