Well snowy, I agree with you on adventure time but I'd be OK if it ends up being a little like regular show. But judging from the trailer, I think it won't be much too much like either and be its own gem.

I honestly don't care if they changed it, unless it's for the worse.eboy wrote:i have categorized your reactions
It's for the worse here, as I've explained in a previous post on this topic.
I like the new Eggman, and Tails is pretty rad for once here as far as I can tell. The rest, as far as the trailers and their redesigns convey, aren't exactly my cup of tea.
I think it's the same for a lot of others here. It's not that they changed it, it's just that it's more of the bad instead of more of the good. If someone swapped your steak for a cheap-tasting tofu proxy, you'd be pretty mad. And that's what looks to be happening here.

^ you seem to be unable to grasp the concept that SEGA has gone and confirmed this isn't cannon. None of this ties in with the other games. Aso, you fail to realize they were given new designers for this and this only. Its not like this will stick unless it gets incredibly good feedback and even then probably not.

Oh. Great!
BTW, I like everything besides that hubbabulode they call Knuckles and Sonic's way-to-tallness. The new designs look cool.

Re: Sonic Boom. New TV series.
Does canon really mean anything when talking about a franchise that lacks anything resembling an overall storyline, where the characters never age(unless the character gets a redesign and has their age retconned like Amy circa SA1 and Charmy circa Heroes), and even individual games are not known for consistent story lines?
Anyways, has anything concrete been released apart from the designs of the core cast, the show's format and network, and the fact that there will be a WiiU tie-in, because I have nothing to make a judgement on from those bits.

The Wii U version of the game is being made by Big Red Button, a group made up of former Naughty Dog employees.
The 3DS version is being made by people that worked on Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.

This is kinda harsh.KeatonLabs wrote: 1. ^ you seem to be unable to grasp the concept that SEGA has gone and confirmed this isn't cannon. None of this ties in with the other games.

1. How am I unable to grasp something when I didn't even know? I don't read destructoid, nor do I regularly visit Sonic specific news websites. I was unaware, sure.
2. I did know they were given new designers. However, I did not know this was part of it's own cannon, as I said before.
I don't think not knowing a tidbit that wasn't well-reported (as far as I can tell) is me being unable to grasp a concept.
Anyways, I still feel the same way about the whole thing. Just because it's it's own cannon doesn't mean my opinion of the show/game changes.
Yeah, I'm really hoping the game is good. I can imagine a Sly Cooper-esque handling of the story, which would be awesome.Nova! wrote:The Wii U version of the game is being made by Big Red Button, a group made up of former Naughty Dog employees.

i like how they're saying that they're saying that they're introducing the concept of team-based gameplay when sonic heroes exists

Actual Co-op team-based gameplay.eboy wrote:i like how they're saying that they're saying that they're introducing the concept of team-based gameplay when sonic heroes exists
Sonic Heroes was based on using three characters as one.

Eboy, from what you said I can tell you meant co-op. But Sonic Heroes had about as much co-op as controlling the ice climbers in super smash bros does.

Re: Sonic Boom. New TV series.
Besides, S3K had proper Co-op more than a decade before Heroes(and I think P2 could control Tails in S2, but didn't have access of the abilities that would actually make a human controlled Tails useful).

^*cough* Not that good though*cough*
I think this will be more of a Adenture style mixed with Co-op sorta like Sonic 06's Team race but it has character specific stage gimmicks. HEROES had no co-op, you just controlled three characters at once

Re: Sonic Boom. New TV series.
Oh, btw, i just thought i'd point this out. Sonic Boom will NOT be releasing in japan and is only being worked on by Sonic team in the USA in collaboration with Bid red button.
Japan has stated that they will continue working on a multi platform sonic game while sega of america works on sonic boom.

I love how Tails is always voiced by a girl.
