I'm not very sure what my opinion is yet when it comes to this series.

The TV show...I'm not really a fan of cartoons which use CGI but I'll still give it a chance of course. I also believe there should be twenty two minute episodes to allow for better story development within an episode.

The games however, look interesting, the developers seem to be taking the Sonic gameplay in a different direction which offers a welcome change.

I'm also liking the concept of the new characters. I do wish there would be more for the 3DS version, as most characters appear to be in the Wii U version.

As not trying to hop on the so-called "nostalgif**" bandwagon, I will definitely watch the series regardless of the changes that SEGA has made. I mean, I grew up with Sonic, so I'm not going to turn away from anything new that gets thrown at us. It is to be expected overtime. Everything changes. It has with the series before.
Personally, I for one approve of the graphics more than anything. It looks so much better than even the previous games, such as SA2B. I am excited to have HD graphics aired on CN; this will be interesting for both the series and the station.
However, there are downsides to everything. I don't really prefer the new style compared to the OVA.
Sonic- He is okay. I like the bandana, but I do not like his new voice. It's not the sonic that I'd imagine, nor will I ever get used to him like this.
Knuckles- I am really upset...he has been my favorite character for as long as I can remember...I miss the times where he had his little hat and innocent voice and no temper. Plus, he didn't look like he was on steroids and skipped leg day more than once.
Tails- He is so much cuter, to be honest. I like his goggles, and especially his new voice. He doesn't sound stuffy nosed or girly, but I will definitely miss his kiddish additude.
Amy- God, she's even worse than before. Her voice is way too mature. Enough said.
Shadow- He appears at the end of the game trailer, I think. I like his new voice a lot better.
I am personally a little nervous about the plot, because Sonic X wasn't that great. But thank god Chris won't be in the show.

Looks like this game may have been rushed, like, badly. Though i wont defend it for being rushed if it is, just like i dont defend 06.

To be fair, it looks like whoever was playing glitched the characters closer to those two NPCs by jumping awkwardly.

the game is a glitchy mess but it's at least entertaining to screw around with
the show however looks really good and i think i'm probably going to follow it closely

The games are going to fail incredibly, there's no doubt about it that this point. I'm guessing Sonic team's/'Nintendo's/Sega's fatal flaw was letting Big Red Button make it.

However the show is way better than Sonic X and may just save the alternate universe. The best way to describe it would be the old AoSTH mixed with Seinfeld.

The show isn't all too bad. The art style and animation are actually quite good, it looks very crisp and clean. It has some funny moments too.

My biggest problem with it though, they completely screwed up the characters. Take for example Sonic and Eggman. They honestly seem more like brothers than enemies. They fight but also joke around and even act nice to eachother sometimes. THAT'S. NOT. SONIC. Eggman is meant to be Sonic's main evil villain, the one person he can't stand, yet in only the SECOND EPISODE, they let Eggman f******** LIVE WITH THEM.

It really bugs me that they decided to change their personalities so drastically.
I mean, what happened to Knuckles? Used to be badass, cool, tougher than leather! Now he's just a big dumby. He acts INCREDIBLY stupid in every episode, which I could totally accept, if it wasn't Knuckles. I loved Knuckles, he was so tough and awesome before. Then they buffed him up and gave his brain a good punching.

Amy used to be really cute, and her obsessive personality towards Sonic was more funny than creepy. They totally scratched that for Boom though. Now she's this "therapist" type which really doesn't suit her character at all. "2 spoonfuls of forgiveness washed down with a tall glass of friendship!" That's not the Amy I grew up with

I'm so glad they didn't mess Tails up. He's pretty much how he's always been, inventing, fixing, being the cute Science type I've always known him to be.

I don't want to sound like a terrible Sonic fan who doesn't like change, I'm not like that. I just wished they had stuck with the original personalities from Sonic X. Even if they just changed them a little, I would be ok with that. But they totally changed them. I had high hopes for this show, and I feel severely let down
