That title is one of the most ridiculous things I think I have read recently.
And reading the full of the article did not do much to sway my opinion that that is crazy.

What a time to be alive.

I know right?

First the creator of Evangelion made a Godzilla movie, then Ash Ketchum got kissed by a girl, and now the director of Deadpool is making a Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

It's just one crazy, implausible thing after another these days.

So what you're saying is it's going to feature a montage edit of various Sonic and Amy sex scenes? And also multiple masturbation jokes? And Ryan Reynolds is going to be Sonic? And some old and forgotten Sonic character with a cool name is going to star in the movie and have their popularity revived?

Sounds good to me.

Sonic deserves a good movie after Sonic Boom came out & made his old toons like Satam & Underground look like righteous blasts to the past. :stomp:

Kind of pumped for this film, kind of terrified of it's potential to suck major ass. I really enjoyed Deadpool, though, and I believe Tim Miller has worked on Sonic stuff in the past, so maybe there is hope?

I only watched the first couple minutes of Deadpool, but from what I saw, it was pretty funny. That said, good directing doesn't always mean good film, so time will still tell.

I kind of have to agree with Lamby. As much as Sonic's reputation has fallen, anything short of cookie-cutter, lowest common denominator is probably going to be a box office bust, and if we get anything of quality, it'll probably only be seen by the hardcore Sonic fans.

sonic mania and 2017 could even be stellar leading into the movie. ratchet and clank, a younger series that i ADORE with a near squeaky clean track record of stellar releases couldn't even pull off a movie and it couldn't even grab the tail-end millennials like me playstation fanatics that grew up with it, despite the game selling great with great reviews

i'm still a sonic fan, but for us mid 20s and older fans, there's no question sonic has a fraction of the industry relevance it did, if any
