My opinion on Shadow the Hedgehog

it's finally time i say this. i think that shadow the hedgehog sucks compleatly. *puts up shield against fan girls/boys* i'm sierious! shadow was one of the worst things that SEGA made. shadow is basically super sonic except black with red stripes. here are most of my reasons i hate him.

story: his story to me makes no friggen sence. i think shadow's story has too many plot holes (remind you of an old sonic show?) and isn't clear enough. the whole time i played shadow the hedgehog i was like "WTF? this doesn't make any sence? which is the real ending?". hey maybe someone can point this out but until then i say shadows storyline was the worst storyline ever. i mean silvers story made more sence then his.

attacking: they make all his moves way too over powerful. chaos spear is good but what the heck is it with chaos blast? i know shadow can control chaos energy but come on! does he really need a move that is basically super explosive wave (DBZ)? also chaos control is probably the biggest godmodding move ever. it makes sence but it has so many friggen holes in it. sence when did 2 emeralds make a time portal (sonic next gen)? only thing that doesn't make it a compleatly godmodding move is that you need a chaos emerald to use it.

forms: i don't mind shadows super form but chaos mode is what got me mad. chaos shadow is shadow without his rings. it's called chaos shadow cause inside shadow is alot of chaos energy and when the rings on his wrists are taken off it is all unleashed. so if shadow is filled with so much chaos energy why can't he use chaos control without an emerald? chaos shadow to me is just another way to overpower shadow.

publicity: well he was introduced in SAB2 so when that game came out i didn't mind him but later when shadow the hedgehog came out i started hating shadow because of his confusing storyline. but what really got me mad was at how so many people loved him and made all these stupid fan storys where they're FC kissed him or maybe shadow loved them. it just got me mad. i know it's not shadows fault but it's just another thing i wanna point out.

behavior: his behavior disgusts me. all the time it's "maria...where are you?" or "MARIA!!!". he acts like a baby emo. i was surprised when he actually smiled for once. shadow also acted like a perv during sonic next gen. i noticed during most/all of the cutscenes with rouge, whenever he talked to her his eyes focused on her chest. i laughed at it though. he acts like he's all that and a bag of chips (where'd that line come from XD) and thinks he's the ultimate life form which means he has a huge ego which i also hate.

well this is all i have to say for now about shadow the emo. i aplogise if i offend people and maybe you can answer some of my questions but i'm never changing my opinion on him.

well i hacked through sonic battle so....didn't see shadows story XD

i did beat shadows story on the game but never really understood what he said. i probably wasn't listening. (like i ever do :P)

eh i know that he isn't emo anymore but i still hated how i had to put up with that in SA2B

I liked his character in SA2. I didn't think he was emo. I mean, jeeze, if someone you loved was shot, wouldn't you be upset too?

I even liked the fact that sega decided to bring him back after he supposedly burned up in the atmosphere. What happened to his character after that is kinda what ruined him. In the games now, I find him a bit annoying, sometimes kind of unnecessary. But, the sonic series was already going downhill so i guess it makes sense that shadow went with it.

I guess I don't really see what you mean about his attacks. Him and Sonic seem like they have an equal amount of power to me.

Idk. Others may disagree, but personally, I like him (or what he used to be...)

I just say that all the other games take place in an alternate reality, while SU takes place in it's own (so the werehog doesn't have to come back)

Ahem* Let me work my magic. Shadow the Hedgehog was a creation a Dr. Gerald Robotnik. He was created to be the ultimate weapon by his "biological" father's (Black Doom) command. However, his "adoptive" father (Gerald) knew what Doom wanted and he secretly made Shadow as a protector. Shadow was raised by Gerald and had a brother-sister like relationship with Maria. G.U.N. Learned about the A.R.K. and decided that was too much power for one man to hold. After attacking Maria did all she could to protect Shadow (Ironic ain't it?) and was gunned down in the process. Going off topic... how would you feel if your sister and father where shot mercilessly In front of you? Shadow was filled with hatred and decided to make the human race pay for what happened to his family. (Aside: Yes, Shadow is over 50 but he has been in a cryogenic state, therefore, time hasn't passed) As SA2 progresses he realizes what Maria truly wants and grants her wish by protecting the human race. As he falls to Earth he loses all memory and must find himself. He is found by Rouge in Sonic Heroes.

SH progresses and he sees many things that make him suspicious leading to ShTH. After sorting out lies and truths he is reconfirmed by Eggman that he is the true Shadow and is the protector of the human race. Shadow holds himself to this and destroys his dad. In SB he once again tries to protect the world by destroying Emryl. He is living with Rouge at this point, who shares a new sisterly relationship. In SNG he once again uses his power to help Sonic.

(25 yrs later: he takes over the world and steals Sonic's wife. He is overthrown by Knuckles's daughter whom has already been taught to use all of Knuckles abilities)

(200 yrs later: Shadow is imprisoned by humans who fear his power)

Notes:
"Chaos Shadow" is not actually another form, It's just Shadow at full power.
Shadow keeps returning because he is the 2nd most favored char in the sonic universe, followed by Knuckles then Tails
Shadow's power is not so special. In fact he is well balanced with the others.

Sonic_-_Super, Hyper, Darkspine: Can summon chaos emeralds, can stop/speed up time, can create whirlwinds, can make others super without losing energy

Knuckles_-_Super,Hyper,Chaos,Enerjak: Can summon lightning and boulders, can generate fireballs, when in chaos form he becomes a god and can bend reality- COME ON!

Shadow_-_Super: Chaos Spear, Chaos Control (can be used by anybody who can control the emeralds), Chaos Blast (A large amount of energy shot in all directions)

Shadow doesn't and 'cannot' die. He merely loses his memory and Is found by Eggman. SU takes place in the same reality. You won't see the werehog again because Sonic won't live 200 years for Eggman to crack open the world and re-awaken Dark Gaia. When Dark Gaia is put to rest Sonic loses the ability to become a Werehog.

Foy boy, I agree with you completely.. xD I never liked Shadow much. In my opinion, he's such a stereotypical emo with a tragic past and OMG MEGA SUPER POWERS that I can't help but dislike him.

And if he's so powerful, why did he need things like guns and vehicles in StH? e_e;


He reminds me of Sasuke, 'cause he's got that whole stupid tragic past, wants revenge, is so powerful it's unfair, and blah blah. And I HAAATE Sasuke~

But Shadow isn't all stuck-up and stuff, so I don't hate him. Just.. dislike. :3

I completely agree; I hate how babyish he is. MARIIIAA!!! He needs to move on and stop sulking. I understand that his experience was not at all pleasant, but that's no reason to take revenge on people, carry around a huge gun following what appears to be a cyclops starfish, and never smile. I wish that when he fell from the Ark in SA2B, he stayed DEAD.
